Coalition for the El Hiblu Three
Amara, Abdalla, and Kader are three young men who arrived in Malta in 2019. Since then, they have been criminalised by the Maltese authorities and face life in prison. They are known as the El Hiblu 3. The Coalition for the El Hiblu 3 is a network of individuals and groups in Malta and beyond that support Abdalla, Amara, and Kader in their struggle for justice and freedom.
Human Rights Defender Award Winners
On the 13th of April 2024, the Coalition for the El Hiblu 3 presented Abdalla Bari, Amara Kromah, and Abdul Kader with the Human Rights Defenders Award at the University of Malta in Valletta. The three, known as the El Hiblu 3, received this award for the bravery and solidarity they showed when facing the threat of a pushback to Libya in 2019.
